  • 24.2lbs – 44lbs (11kg - 20kg): 120 mcg - 1 tablet from the green pack
  • 46.2lbs – 88.1lbs (21kg-40kg): 240 mcg - 1 tablet from the yellow pack
  • Dogs over 88.1lbs (40kg) are given an appropriate combination of tablets.

Active Ingredients: Ivermectin

Cautions

Valuheart should not be administered to puppies under 6 weeks of age. Avoid giving this medication to animals with a known allergy to Ivermectin. It's crucial to test for heartworm prior to initiating preventive therapy. If the dog hasn't been on Ivermectin for 6 months or less, start the medication and test after 6 months. This is because microfilariae, which mature in 6 months, might yield a positive test result.

Possible Side Effects

At the recommended dosage, Ivermectin rarely results in side effects. Valuheart is safe for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages (from 6 weeks). It's also suitable for small dogs irrespective of their weight, pregnant or breeding females, and stud dogs. Some dogs with high circulating microfilariae levels may experience transient diarrhoea post-treatment.
